Red Flags to Watch For in a Stranger's Messages
Most people you meet in a chat are perfectly decent, but it pays to know the warning signs. Red flags tend to show up early if you are paying attention. Here are the ones worth taking seriously.
They move too fast
Intense affection or heavy talk within minutes is a classic manipulation pattern. Real connection builds gradually. Speed is a signal to slow down.
They push your boundaries
If you say no or change the subject and they keep pushing, believe them. Someone who ignores a boundary once will ignore it again.
They ask for money or private info
Any request for money, personal details, or photos is a hard stop. This is the single most important red flag, and the answer is always no, then report.
Something just feels off
Your instinct counts. If a chat gives you a bad feeling you cannot quite name, you do not need a reason to leave. Skip, and do not look back.
